Company History

Industrial Insulations was founded in 1951 by Dick Strauss. At the time Dick was a district sales manager for Owens-Corning Fiberglass. In 1951, Fiberglass was only a few years old and Owens-Corning was looking for new uses and new markets. They even considered using it for wallpaper.

Industrial Insulations carries a variety of acoustical insulation and materials used for sound control and noise reduction. We always have acoustic wallboard and tackboard including fiberglass and synthetic boards and blankets. Some are formaldehyde-free.

Industrial Insulations also custom designs thermal insulation solutions with fiberglass and high temperature insulating refractories.

We design delivery solutions that match each particular need.

Applications include ovens, ranges, furnaces, cooktops, fireplaces, water heaters, perishable cargo, metal buildings, appliances, heating, ventilating, air conditioning equipment, office partitions, acoustical walls and ceilings, and speakers.
